Hall DnD yesterday. Some freshies kept asking me about my almost flawless chinese speaking ability. Je parle un peu chinois.

Hanged out with nigel and jean afterwards. Good time to just chill out and take our minds off the other things in life. Just drink the lemon tea and heineken and appreciate the bayside view at the esplanade. At least nigel and I were doing that. Jean was using her intrinsic photographic talent to capture various pictures of the view. She probably came out of her mum's womb with a camera in hand.

Chalet with s53 peeps last night. Was a crazy night. Itls as if each and every one of us were younger just like in our jc days when we will just hang out at the tree houses and play stupid games and come out with stupid scandals to entertain each other. Started with shopping trip which only xiaoyun and i turned up on time for. I travelled all the way from the other side of the world and was still on turn. The mrt is simply too fast. I didn't want to be early because I knew that nobody will be.

Then the few of us who were earlier took des' ride to the chalet to prepare for jaslyn's birthday party. While the creative team were doing their task of decorating the room, the cooking attempted to cook some edible food. Some of us made it but for some, it just means that you have to try harder. Xy with the solid hard pizza. Probably can throw it at des and knock him unconscious.

Celebrated jaslyn's birthday at 12 plus after some hesitation to move up. Plan was almost perfect until we realised we didn't bring the cake up from the fridge. Panic button. Then we hid when she entered the room. Then roar! Super hilarious rarhing moment.

We also had a surprise birthday party for jiajia's 21st. It was so SURPRISING because her birthday is in 2 months' time. Happy birthday jia and jas!

Then we decided to 'put' des in a relationship using his own facebook account. So, congrats des for your new-found love. We share your joy in this matter. Hope everything works out fine with your new girl.

VJC 06s53. I feel childish. Damn!

Life has this way of testing us of our patience and character. It is never a straight, smooth path toward our goals. Never that simple. There are brick walls scattered along the way. Just like the late Prof Randy Pausch proclaimed during his last lecture, the brick walls are there for a reason; they are there to let us show how much we want something. Personally, if we get to achieve our dreams so easily, the satisfaction is not there. To know whether something is meant for you, you probably have to go through a test. It sounds kind of fair, I guess. If you want something, show that you want something. Life sucks. But it is what you do when life sucks that really differentiates the character within each and every one of us. Keep the faith. Faith of the heart.
